49er Frenzy is UNC Charlotte's signature event during Fall Gold Rush Week, connecting thousands of new and returning students with Charlotte businesses and organizations to showcase their products, discounts and brands. Immediately following the New Student Welcome, this event occurs simultaneously with the Student Organizations Showcase and RecFest.

The Haunted Union is our celebration of Halloween on campus. Happening at the Student Union on the last Thursday in October each year, we take over the entire building with a haunted house, costume contest, spooky-themed crafts, tarot card readers, and more!

Light Up The Lake is a campus tradition that brings school spirit and seasonal cheer during December and January. On the last day of classes of Fall Semester, join other students for free hot drinks, live music, and a countdown to flip on thousands of twinkle lights around Hechenbleikner Lake. Bring your camera!

The Late Night Breakfast is a long-standing UNC Charlotte tradition that happens on the Last Day of Classes. Students come out for a free late-night meal served by University Administrators and Staff before jumping into studying for Final Exams. Bring your dance moves and big appetite!

Enjoy Hechenbleikner Lake with free kayaking, snorkeling cones, music, games, and 49er fun!
